Pineapple and Berry Smoothie

I am starting with one of my favourites! The sweetness of the pineapple and the blueberries beautifully complement the tartness of the yogurt that I use in the recipe. I usually use fresh fruits as opposed to frozen for my smoothies (read above) but I do cut and freeze the fruits the night before. For this recipe: (serves 1), we will use:

Pineapple: 1/2 cup cut into medium sized chunks

Blueberries: 1/2 cup

Yogurt: 1 cup

2 tsp milk

Add all the smoothie ingredients to your blender and blend till you have a nice consistency. Serve in a bowl and top with your favourite toppings. I used Blackberries (I am a berry fan!), chia seeds, passion fruit and toasted almonds. To toast the almonds, heat up a pan and add almonds onto it. Toast till you start getting a beautifully nutty aroma. Let it cool before serving.
